When you search about how to add another email to Gmail account, you will get lots of critical stuff. You might get a big headache to configure those settings. But here I will explain all things in an easy way. I have split the full process into 3 parts. Go through one by one until the end.
1. Check Mail from Other Accounts
If you want to check emails of another account from your Gmail account, then you must follow this process.
Step 1: Open your browser and log into Gmail.
Step 2: Click on the ‘gear icon’ from your inbox.
Step 3: Chose ‘Settings’ option from the menu.
Step 4: Then go to ‘Accounts and import’ section.
Step 5: Click on ‘Add a mail account’ from Check mail from other accounts section.
Step 6: A window will pop-up. Enter the email address of another email address. Click Next.
Step 7: Select, ‘Link accounts with Gmailify’ and click Next.
Step 8: Click on the Close button.
Take a moment and then go to your Gmail inbox. At the left menu bar, you will get an option that is labeled with your newly added email address. Click on it, and you will get all emails from that email address.
2. Import Mail and Contacts
To import contacts and emails from another email account, then you have to take those steps on your Gmail account.
Step 1: Go to Settings > Account and Import.
Step 2: Click on ‘Import mail and contacts’ from Change account settings section.
Step 3: A window will get a pop-up. Enter the email address of your other account and click on Continue button.
Step 4: Click on Continue.
Note: Now Another window will appear on screen with authorization process. Finish the authorization process and close this window.
Step 5: Select what you want to import and then click on Start import button.
Step 6: Click OK.
Importing process can take some time to control. So, wait a little bit, and check your Gmail inbox, Google contacts to see if the contacts and emails are imported or not.
3. Send Mail to Another Account
You can also send emails as other accounts from Gmail. For configuring that, you will get two options. Here’s how you can configure it.
Step 1: Go to Settings > Accounts and Import from your Gmail inbox.
Step 2: Now go to ‘Send mail as’ section.
Step 3: Here you will get another section named ‘When replying to a message’. I recommend you to choose ‘Reply from the same address the message was sent to’ option if you don’t want any a headache.
Note: If you use this option then, Google will change your email address according to the witch account’s email you are reading.
